Celebrate BJWC’s 80^th Anniversary

The Barrington Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) is bringing the glamour and glitz of Vegas to 60010 with its Spring Fundraiser with the recently announced its “Glitz, Gaming and Giving” theme.  BJWC’s Glitz, Gaming and Gifting will offer an evening filled with Vegas Showgirls, Elvis, Roulette, Craps and, of course, Blackjack.  The Spring Fundraiser will be held at the Biltmore Country Club in Barrington on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 7:00pm.

The casino-style function will provide something for everyone.  If you like to gamble, hit one of the many tables.  For those of you that want to learn to gamble, instructors will be available to show you first-hand how to place your bets.  Meet our Showgirls for a once in a lifetime photo op and listen to Elvis’s velvety voice as he auctions off a fabulous trip to Cabo San Lucas and several other fabulous items.  If you’re interested in dancing the night way, Enough Said will perform all of your favorite dance hits.   A Vegas style buffet and unlimited cocktails will be available for all to enjoy. 

 This special evening will be a celebration of 80 years of service in the Barrington Community.  Barrington Junior Women’s Club is one of Barrington’s oldest charity groups, founded in 1936. A large portion of the proceeds from the Glitz, Gaming and Giving will help fund the Barrington Splash Pad Project.  The Splash Pad will be a “Universally Designed” Sprinkler Park that will be interactive, accessible and sensitive to children with special needs.
